Several events and initiatives are planned to celebrate and explore Black History Month and the legacy of Black communities in 2025. West End Presbyterian Church will host a lecture titled “Swing Low: The Story of the Black Church in the United States,” focusing on the history of African American Christians and their role in social change. Sheffield Cathedral will hold a Community Civic Service featuring local Black church leaders and gospel music to celebrate the national theme 'Standing Firm in Power and Pride.' The NHS Confederation is supporting Black History Month by highlighting the contributions of Black healthcare workers and addressing racial inequalities in the NHS workforce through regional roadshows. Additionally, Brampton Museum will host a cultural event showcasing Black Victorian history with exhibitions, workshops, and performances to engage families and the wider community. These events collectively aim to honor Black heritage, promote awareness, and inspire future generations across different sectors and regions.
