Tom Fletcher's Paddington Musical Opens in November at Savoy Theatre

Tom Fletcher, known for his work with McFly, has announced he is composing the music and lyrics for a new Paddington stage musical premiering November 1 at London's Savoy Theatre in the West End. The production is based on Michael Bond’s beloved novels and inspired by the recent successful film series, following Paddington Bear’s journey from Peru to London and his adventures with the Brown family. Fletcher expressed feeling 'honoured and lucky' to work on the project, describing the musical numbers as his favorite songs he has ever written. Scriptwriter Jessica Swale and director Luke Sheppard have collaborated with Fletcher, promising both faithful adaptations of classic characters and the introduction of new material. The creative team aims to capture the warmth and heart that have made Paddington an enduring favorite for generations. The musical has been in development for five years and seeks to blend nostalgia with fresh elements for audiences.
