El Paso Woman Charged with Manslaughter in Fatal Motorcycle Crash
Marissa Arlene Dominguez, a 20-year-old woman from East El Paso, has been arrested and charged with manslaughter following a fatal crash on Interstate 10 West that killed 48-year-old motorcyclist Alejandro Rodriguez. The crash occurred on August 31, 2025, when Dominguez's 2024 Ford Mustang rear-ended Rodriguez's 2024 Kawasaki Ninja, causing him to be thrown from his motorcycle and die at the scene. Police obtained a warrant for Dominguez's arrest with a bond set at $100,000, and she was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on September 11. The Special Traffic Investigations unit continues to investigate the crash, which is the 41st traffic fatality in El Paso this year, slightly fewer than the 44 fatalities at the same time last year. Rodriguez was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and the collision led to closure of the roadways for several hours during the investigation. Dominguez was released on bond after her arrest but remains charged with manslaughter as authorities continue their inquiry.
