Wisconsin Man Convicted of Murdering, Dismembering 19-Year-Old Student

Maxwell Anderson, a 34-year-old man from Milwaukee, was found guilty of killing and dismembering 19-year-old college student Sade Robinson during their first date in April 2024. After meeting at a bar and spending the evening drinking at two locations, they returned to Anderson's apartment, where the murder occurred. Anderson watched the Netflix series 'Love, Death & Robots,' with prosecutors noting the show's Season 2 finale depicted a similar dismemberment, which may have influenced his actions. He then scattered Robinson's remains around Milwaukee County and burned her car to conceal evidence. Graphic photos on Anderson's phone showed him groping the incapacitated Robinson, including an image of him holding her severed breast, described by a juror as deeply disturbing. Anderson was convicted on multiple charges including first-degree intentional homicide, dismembering a corpse, arson, and hiding a corpse, shocking the local community.
