Two Arrested in Bacup Following Man's Street Death
A man in his 30s was found fatally injured on Newchurch Road in Bacup, Lancashire, in the early hours of November 1, and despite paramedics' efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Two people from Bacup, a 26-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody as investigations continue. Police are treating the case as an isolated incident but have increased patrols in the area as a precaution. A Home Office post-mortem examination is planned to determine the exact cause of death. Detectives have appealed to the public for information, especially from anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage from midnight to 12:35 a.m., or anyone who was at the Rosemount Working Men’s Club on October 31. The victim's loved ones are being supported by specially trained officers during this distressing time.
