Multiple US Cities Celebrate Juneteenth Highlighting Black History, Resilience

Communities across the United States marked Juneteenth with celebrations honoring Black history, resilience, and freedom, reflecting on the day enslaved African Americans in Texas were informed of their emancipation in 1865, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
