Genesis Electrified G80 Launches in Australia

The 2025 Genesis Electrified G80 luxury sedan has launched in Australia, featuring a longer wheelbase, a larger 94.5kWh battery, and advanced interior technology. The extended wheelbase by 130mm enhances rear passenger comfort, while the new battery delivers a WLTP driving range of 570 km (354 miles) and supports 350kW fast charging, enabling a 10-80% recharge in 25 minutes. The dual-motor setup produces 272kW and 700Nm, resulting in a 0-100 km/h time of 5.1 seconds, and is complemented by rear-wheel steering and advanced suspension for improved agility. The cabin includes a 27-inch OLED display, Bang & Olufsen sound system, UV-C sanitizing console, massaging seats, and a full suite of driver-assistance features. The model is available in a single highly equipped Signature AWD trim, supports over-the-air updates, and is priced at $155,000 AUD plus on-road costs. Genesis aims for the G80 to compete with European luxury EVs by combining strong performance, technology, and comfort.
