Multiple New Mexico Men Charged in Fatal Shootings Including Brother, Uncle
Two separate family-related homicides occurred recently in Texas and New Mexico. In San Antonio, Richard Anthony Cervera was charged with murdering his uncle, Ricardo Cervera Jr., who died from multiple gunshot wounds at a hotel; the suspect was arrested nearby and police searched for other possible suspects. In Roswell, New Mexico, 53-year-old Paul Sedillo-Reyes was charged with first-degree murder after fatally shooting his girlfriend, Nadia Madrid, inside their shared home. Additionally, 19-year-old Diego Bueno-Ibarra was charged with involuntary manslaughter and negligent use of a deadly weapon after accidentally shooting his 17-year-old brother, Bryan Bueno, while handling a firearm during a gathering where alcohol and fireworks were involved. Authorities believe the shooting was unintentional, but it resulted in Bryan's death at the scene. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about family-involved violence and gun safety.
