Delhi Metro Integrates Real-Time Data into MapmyIndia App for NCR Commuters

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mappls MapmyIndia to integrate real-time metro data into the Mappls app, benefiting over 35 million users across the Delhi-NCR region. This integration will provide commuters with comprehensive metro information including routes, fares, train frequencies, travel times, nearby stations, and line changes, enhancing journey planning and navigation. DMRC's Managing Director, Vikas Kumar, emphasized that this collaboration aims to create a smarter, seamless, and time-efficient metro travel experience. Beyond metro data, the app will also enable users to report real-time civic and traffic issues, promoting urban mobility, proactive traffic management, and road safety through alerts on accidents and breakdowns. MapmyIndia's leadership highlighted the partnership as part of a broader vision for multi-modal transport solutions and a contribution to India's Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The collaboration marks a significant advancement in leveraging digital mapping and geospatial technology to improve public transport and commuter convenience in the region.
