During the inauguration of the 32nd Convergence India & 10th Smart Cities India Expo, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced an ambitious goal to reduce India's logistics costs from the current 14-16% of GDP to single digits, enhancing the nation's competitiveness against China and the US. The expo, themed 'Imagining an AI-Driven Future Today,' features over 1,000 exhibitors from 28 countries, including a significant presence of 200 startups showcasing innovations in areas like AI, IoT, and cybersecurity. Attendees can explore a Startup Hub that offers mentoring opportunities, competitions, and networking, while the inaugural AI Bharat Expo focuses on the applications of AI in various industries. The event also includes the Smart City & Fintech Innovation Awards and numerous conference sessions aimed at discussing trends in digital transformation and urban development. Gadkari emphasized that infrastructure development is crucial for economic growth and competitiveness. Chandrika Behl, Managing Director of the Exhibitions India Group, invited all to engage with the immersive technology experiences presented at the event.
