One Dead Three Injured in Fresno County DUI Crash Driver Arrested

A fatal DUI crash occurred Saturday evening on Trimmer Springs Road in Fresno County, California, resulting in the death of 46-year-old Cristian Jaime and injuries to three other passengers. The incident involved a white GMC pickup truck, driven by 40-year-old Luis Estanga, who was speeding and failed to negotiate a sweeping right curve, causing the vehicle to veer off the road, roll multiple times, and come to rest against a tree about 200 feet down an embankment. Authorities determined that Estanga was under the influence of alcohol and arrested him on charges of felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. Estanga was airlifted to a hospital for treatment and will be booked into Fresno County Jail upon release. The injured passengers sustained minor to moderate injuries and were hospitalized.
