Actor David Hekili Kenui Bell Dies at 57
David Hekili Kenui Bell, a Hawaiian actor best known for his recent role as 'Big Hawaiian Dude' in Disney's live-action 'Lilo & Stitch,' has died at age 57, just weeks after the film's release. His sister, Jalene Kanani Bell, announced his death on Facebook and shared that he united their family for the movie's opening night. Bell also appeared in 'Magnum P.I.' and 'Hawaii Five-0,' and was the voice heard over the PA at Kona International Airport. No cause of death has been disclosed. He was remembered by friends and his agent as a 'gentle giant' with a passion for the arts, his community, and the spirit of aloha. Bell's final, posthumous role will be in the upcoming film 'The Wrecking Crew.'
