Conejo Valley Plans 60th Annual La Fiesta del Triunfo Fundraiser

The Conejo Valley Historical Society is preparing for its 60th annual La Fiesta del Triunfo on August 16 at the Stagecoach Inn Museum in Newbury Park, a key fundraiser celebrating the area's cultural and civic heritage. This year's event honors George Lange and Denise Cortes as the 2025 Don and Doña Triunfo, recognizing their decades of leadership and community service, including Lange's extensive work in local parks, conservation, youth support, and cultural initiatives. In New York City, Latin Food Fest NYC returns to Industry City on September 13-14 for its largest edition, featuring over 70 Latin food vendors, live performances, and cultural activities that celebrate Latin heritage and Hispanic Heritage Month. Also in Brooklyn, Dolores, a new cantina and cocktail bar inspired by Mexico City cuisine, has opened in Bed-Stuy, offering traditional Mexican small bites and agave-based cocktails, aiming to bring authentic chilango cantina culture to the city. Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland, Spanish chef José Pizarro will host a special culinary event at Elephant Rock Boutique Hotel on September 26, showcasing his signature Spanish dishes made with local Northern Irish produce. These events highlight vibrant celebrations of cultural heritage through food, community recognition, and culinary artistry across the U.S. and abroad.
