Sevastova rallied from a set and break down, breaking Pegula six times and becoming the lowest-ranked player to defeat a top-10 opponent since 2023. The Latvian, a former world No. 11, described her return as 'unfinished business' after her injury setbacks. Pegula, who has struggled with form following early exits at Wimbledon and Washington, acknowledged her frustration and inconsistency.
