East Hampton Library Hosts 21st Annual Authors Night Featuring 100 Writers

Several literary events and competitions celebrating authors and their works are taking place across the United States and internationally in 2025. BriBooks announced the winners of the Emerging Authors League, part of its Summer Book Writing Festival, which honors school students who completed and published their books, emphasizing creativity and perseverance. Island Books hosted a Local Author Festival featuring a diverse group of authors who shared and sold their works while offering writing tips. In Hungerford, the Summer Soirée brought authors and booksellers together for an evening of readings and socializing, featuring notable writers such as Tom Hindle and Kate Lord Brown. Meanwhile, the East Hampton Library's 21st Annual Authors Night fundraiser, one of the largest of its kind in the country, showcased 100 authors from various genres and aims to support free library programs through its proceeds.
