Tsunami Advisory Covers California Coast Including Harry, Meghan’s Montecito Home

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Montecito mansion in California has been placed under a tsunami advisory following a massive 8.8-magnitude earthquake off Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula. The advisory, issued by the US National Tsunami Warning Center, covers large portions of California's coast including Santa Barbara County, and warns residents to avoid beaches and coastal waters due to the ongoing risk that may last several hours after the initial waves. Despite the alert, local authorities have confirmed no evacuation orders are currently in effect. This is not the first time their home has faced natural disaster threats, as earlier in 2025 it was under evacuation watch during California wildfires in a high fire risk area. The earthquake also triggered tsunami warnings and evacuations across the Pacific region, including Hawaii and Japan, causing residents to move to higher ground amid significant wave activity. The couple, who have lived in the upscale Montecito community since 2020 with their children, have seen their property's value nearly double since purchase.
