63-Year-Old Dies in I-70 High-Speed Chase Crash

A 63-year-old man died after leading Utah Highway Patrol troopers on a high-speed chase exceeding 140 mph on I-70 near Richfield, Utah. The pursuit began when the suspect sped past a trooper and refused to stop. Troopers successfully deployed spike strips, deflating the car's tires, but the suspect continued driving before losing control of the vehicle. The car rolled several times, ejecting the driver. Despite life-saving efforts by troopers and a medical helicopter crew, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sevier County Sheriff's Office is investigating, and the driver's identity has not been released.
