Vijay Singh Withdraws from 2025 Masters Tournament

Vijay Singh, former Masters champion and World Golf Hall of Fame member, has withdrawn from the 2025 Masters due to an unspecified injury. Singh, who won the Masters in 2000, was set to make his 32nd appearance at Augusta National but informed the competition committee of his decision on Monday. At age 62, Singh recently finished tied for 18th at the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational on the PGA Tour Champions. This marks the first time since 1994 that the Masters will not feature Singh in its field, which now stands at 95 players. Despite the rainy forecast, the Masters tournament is scheduled to begin on Thursday. Singh's absence adds to the list of previous champions not competing this year, including Tiger Woods.
