Jackson "Jacks" Bailey, a 22-year-old former Prairie View A&M football player, has died, with the cause of death not disclosed. Bailey began his college football career at the University of Arizona, transferred to Louisiana-Monroe where he played in nine games, and then joined Prairie View A&M for the 2023-24 season but did not appear in any games. Known for his sharp football IQ, positivity, and strong work ethic, Bailey was also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and was deeply respected for his spirit and brotherhood. A standout linebacker from Red Oak High School in Texas, he led his team to notable playoff runs and was admired for his humility, humor, and heart. Bailey chose Prairie View A&M to be closer to home and was remembered for living with purpose and faith, often saying, "God got me." His dreams included making it to the NFL or pursuing a career in physical therapy, and his legacy continues to resonate with teammates, coaches, and the campus community.
