Major Construction Begins on $900M Melton Hospital in Victoria

Major construction has begun on two significant healthcare projects: a new community-based medical centre in Guelph, Ontario, and the $900 million Melton Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. The Guelph centre, scheduled to open in early 2026, will expand access to diagnostic imaging and outpatient services, aiming to bring hospital-level care closer to the local community. The Melton Hospital, expected to be completed by 2029, will serve Melbourne’s growing western suburbs with a capacity for 130,000 patients annually and nearly 60,000 emergency visits, featuring 274 beds, mental health and maternity services, and advanced training facilities.
