The incident occurred shortly after midnight on April 28, 2025, when the suspects allegedly stole the victim's necklace; the victim was shot multiple times by Alveon Kindle while attempting to retrieve his property. Both suspects fled the scene but were apprehended by Southfield police and turned over to Detroit authorities. Alveon Kindle faces charges including armed robbery, assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, and multiple counts of felony firearm, while Paul Kindle is charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and felony firearm. The two men were arraigned, remanded to jail, and are scheduled for probable cause hearings and preliminary examinations in mid-May. The victim is expected to recover from his injuries.
