Seth MacFarlane Releases Album Featuring Lost Frank Sinatra Arrangements
Seth MacFarlane, known for his work in animation and film, has released his ninth studio album, Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra Arrangements, featuring previously unreleased arrangements and songs originally created for Frank Sinatra. The material, sourced from over 1,200 archival boxes in the Sinatra family collection, includes compositions and orchestrations that had never been recorded, showcasing hidden gems from legendary arrangers like Nelson Riddle, Billy May, and Don Costa. MacFarlane acquired the entire Sinatra music archive in 2018 and brought these arrangements to life with a 70-piece orchestra, recording live at Skywalker Sound Studios. The album debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Jazz Chart and will be performed live by MacFarlane and his orchestra in Las Vegas and Los Angeles in upcoming shows. This project highlights Sinatra's lasting influence on modern pop music and artistic control, with MacFarlane's dedication providing a fresh perspective on the crooner's legacy. A mini-documentary detailing the album's creation offers fans an intimate look behind the scenes.
