Bradford Interchange fully operational May 18 with all bus services returning

All remaining bus services are set to return to Bradford Interchange from May 18, following a period of disruption caused by safety-related closures and ongoing resurfacing works. Since the station’s reopening in January after a year-long shutdown due to falling concrete, 47 services had resumed while 11 continued to operate from surrounding streets. The West Yorkshire Combined Authority and local leaders have welcomed the return, emphasizing the role of the fully operational interchange in improving regional connectivity. Recent renovations include a new public plaza, a refurbished concourse, and improved access, with further remedial works expected to finish by summer but without additional disruption to bus services. Passengers are advised to check journey details online as coach services will also soon return to their original base, with the date to be confirmed. The improvements are seen as timely, especially ahead of Bradford’s upcoming City of Culture year.
