22-Year-Old Dies in Bridgeport Rollover Crash

A fatal rollover crash occurred early morning on July 22, 2025, at the intersection of Chopsey Hill Road and Indian Avenue in Bridgeport, involving a single vehicle with two occupants. The vehicle, traveling west on Chopsey Hill Road, lost control, mounted the curb, struck a utility pole, and rolled over. The 22-year-old male passenger sustained serious injuries and later died at St. Vincent’s Hospital, while the 22-year-old male driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at Bridgeport Hospital. Emergency responders, including Bridgeport Fire and Rescue, AMR, and police, arrived promptly, with the passenger needing extrication from the vehicle. The Bridgeport Police Serious Crash Investigation Unit and Southern Fairfield County Traffic Unit are conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
