Adrian Edmondson, Lesley Sharp Join Bergerac Reboot Filming Jersey

The re-imagined UKTV detective drama Bergerac is filming its second series, with Adrian Edmondson and Lesley Sharp joining the cast. Edmondson plays Nigel, a new love interest for Charlie Hungerford, while Sharp stars as Monica. Damien Molony returns as Jim Bergerac, who is rebuilding his life and investigating a murder at a wedding reception. The first series achieved an average audience of 2.4 million viewers, making it the highest-rated show on the U&DRAMA channel and UKTV network in 2025. The new series will air on the U&DRAMA channel and the U streaming service in 2026 and features a wider returning cast, including Zoë Wanamaker and Robert Gilbert. Produced by BlackLight TV in collaboration with Jersey-based Westward Studios and supported by Visit Jersey, the show honors the original 1980s series created by Robert Banks Stewart.
