TikTok Star Khaby Lame Detained, Departed US for Visa Overstay
Khaby Lame, the world’s most-followed TikTok influencer with over 162 million followers, was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas for overstaying his visa and was granted voluntary departure. Bo Loudon, a 18-year-old conservative Gen Z influencer who claims to be close friends with Barron Trump, took credit for reporting Lame to ICE and has publicly boasted about his role in the TikToker’s removal, claiming connections with President Trump's Department of Homeland Security. ICE confirmed Lame’s detention and voluntary departure but did not officially confirm Loudon's involvement. Loudon has expressed intentions to continue targeting other immigrants whom he believes are in the U.S. illegally, emphasizing respect for laws and opposing what he perceives as system abuse by celebrities. The incident highlights the Trump administration's intensified immigration enforcement, which has sparked protests and political debate, particularly in cities like Los Angeles where National Guard deployments followed ICE raids. Lame, an Italian citizen originally from Senegal, has not publicly commented on the situation, and despite his departure, his ability to re-enter the U.S. remains unaffected under the voluntary departure arrangement.
