Two Men Arrested for Over 40 Burglaries in Surprise, Arizona

Two men, Daniel Davis and Todd Schlarbaum, have been arrested in Surprise, Arizona, for allegedly committing over 40 burglaries targeting vehicles and garages between November 2024 and May 2025. The suspects reportedly gained entry through unlocked doors or by stealing garage door remotes and were identified using license plate readers, surveillance footage, and cellphone records. On July 2, Surprise and Glendale SWAT teams executed search warrants at two properties, recovering numerous stolen items including firearms, a stolen golf cart, gemstones, and various personal belongings. Davis admitted during an interview to possessing firearms unlawfully but claimed they were in his vehicle due to evacuating a nearby fire. Both men face dozens of burglary and weapons violation charges and are held on $50,000 bond. Authorities urge residents to secure their vehicles and garages to prevent similar crimes.
