NFL Player Muhammad Wilkerson Arrested for DUI & Gun Possession

Former NFL player Muhammad Wilkerson was arrested in New Jersey on December 22, 2023, for driving under the influence (DUI) and illegal possession of a firearm. Wilkerson, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol, had an open bottle of Don Julio tequila and an FN 509 Tactical Handgun loaded with 11 hollow point bullets in his vehicle. He also failed to provide proper documentation for the gun, leading to charges of DUI and unlawful possession of a firearm. This is not the first time Wilkerson has been arrested for similar offenses, having been previously arrested for DWI in 2020 and 2019. His court date for the recent charges is set for February. Wilkerson had an illustrious NFL career, but his off-field actions continue to cast a shadow over his achievements.
