Free Outdoor Movie Series Returns to Multiple US Cities for Summer

Multiple cities across the U.S. are launching or continuing free outdoor movie series this summer to bring communities together. San Angelo, Texas, is hosting its 18th season of Downtown Movie Night every Friday from June to August, featuring family-friendly films and giveaways. Grand Rapids, Michigan, will present the Sunset Cinema series with eleven free movies on Saturdays at Studio Park, chosen by public vote. Charlotte, North Carolina, has introduced Movies in the Park on Friday nights at Fourth Ward Park, featuring classic films, local food trucks, and free popcorn for early guests. Chicago offers two free outdoor film programs: the Millennium Park Summer Film Series on Tuesdays in July and August, and the Chicago Park District’s Movies in the Parks across various locations through September. These events encourage attendees to bring chairs and blankets and often provide food options and restrooms, creating festive outdoor experiences for all ages.
