NL Silver Slugger Finalists Announced

Major League Baseball released the National League Silver Slugger finalists, selected by NL managers and coaches based on offensive statistics and voters’ impressions, with winners to be announced Nov. 6. Notable individual finalists include the San Diego Padres’ Manny Machado (3B) and utilityman Jake Cronenworth; the Chicago Cubs’ Pete Crow‑Armstrong, Kyle Tucker and Nico Hoerner; and Arizona’s Ketel Marte, Corbin Carroll and Geraldo Perdomo. Milwaukee placed Brice Turang, William Contreras and Christian Yelich among the finalists, while Philadelphia’s Trea Turner and Kyle Schwarber were also nominated. Atlanta’s Matt Olson and Austin Riley were named finalists, and Arizona was listed as one of three teams up for the team Silver Slugger after posting a .758 team OPS.
