Booker, Suns Beat Jazz 118-96
The Phoenix Suns snapped a four-game losing streak with a 118-96 NBA Cup group-play win over the Utah Jazz, fueled by a 23-2 first-quarter run. Devin Booker led the way with 36 points and nine assists and recorded his fourth straight 30-point game. Phoenix’s defense forced 21 turnovers (converted into 29 points), recorded 10 steals and held Utah to 37.5% shooting — the first time under coach Jordan Ott the Suns allowed fewer than 100 points. Role players Grayson Allen (14), Royce O’Neale (13) and Ryan Dunn (13 points, 10 rebounds) helped sustain the lead while Collin Gillespie provided scoring off the bench. Lauri Markkanen scored 33 and Keyonte George had 17 for Utah, and Phoenix now prepares to host the undefeated San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama next.
