Vodafone Names Microsoft’s Pilar Lopez CFO Starting December

Vodafone Group has announced the appointment of Pilar López as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective December 1, 2025, following the planned departure of current CFO Luka Mucic on November 30. López will begin a transition period as CFO designate starting October 1, 2025. She joins Vodafone from Microsoft, where she held senior leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer for Western Europe and led the company’s partnership with the London Stock Exchange Group. Prior to Microsoft, López spent 16 years at Telefonica in various finance and executive positions. Vodafone CEO Margherita Della Valle praised López's extensive experience in both the telecommunications and technology sectors, highlighting her international leadership background. The company views this appointment as a key step in continuing its focus on operational excellence and sustainable growth.
