Great British Baking Show Judge Prue Leith Ends Weight-Loss Drug Use After No Results

Prue Leith, the 85-year-old Great British Bake Off judge, shared her negative experience with the weight loss drug Mounjaro, which she took for two months without losing weight despite a significant loss of appetite and feeling constantly tired. She described the drug as expensive and unpleasant, ultimately deciding to stop using it due to its adverse effects and lack of results. In contrast, her husband John Playfair successfully lost around 28 pounds using the same drug, though it also led him to reduce his alcohol consumption. Leith humorously remarked that while John thought she appeared thinner, she felt she looked "old and scraggy". She also expressed skepticism about the long-term use of injections for weight loss, questioning their overall health impact. Despite the drug's failure for her, Leith credited her good health and vitality at her age to good genes, a healthy lifestyle, and happiness.
