Tesla Sales Rise 27% Spain, Fall France, Denmark, Sweden July

Tesla's electric vehicle sales in Europe during 2025 have shown a mixed performance, with notable declines in key markets such as Sweden, Denmark, France, and the Netherlands, where registrations dropped significantly. Despite these challenges, Spain and Norway emerged as bright spots, with Tesla's July sales increasing by 27% and 83.4% respectively, partly due to renewed interest in the updated Model Y and Model 3. Overall, Tesla's sales in Spain for the first seven months of 2025 were up 1.1%, while total electrified vehicle sales in the country surged by 155%. The company faces ongoing challenges including rising competition, CEO Elon Musk's polarizing political activities, and delays in launching cheaper EV models, which Musk warned would result in rough quarters. Musk also highlighted that European sales are expected to improve once Tesla can offer the Full Self-Driving experience comparable to the US market. Despite the setbacks in some regions, the growth in Spain and Norway provides some optimism for Tesla's European operations amid a broader decline in several other countries.
