Tampa Jury Convicts Alicia Andrews of Manslaughter in Julio Foolio Killing

Alicia Andrews was found guilty of manslaughter in the 2024 murder of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio, with sentencing scheduled for December 8, 2025. The jury acquitted her of conspiracy to commit murder but convicted her on the lesser charge after deliberating for several hours. Prosecutors argued that Andrews helped track Foolio's movements as part of a gang-related plot orchestrated with her boyfriend, Isaiah Chance, and others to ambush the rapper in Tampa. Andrews testified that she was unaware of the murder plan and described her boyfriend as controlling and abusive, claiming she was manipulated and feared retaliation. Despite her defense, evidence showed she maintained frequent contact with Chance while in jail, which prosecutors used to challenge her claims of fear and detachment. Trials for the four remaining co-defendants are expected in 2026.
