Hazel Park Man Charged In Fatal Detroit Shooting

Jaylen Lee Robinson, a 30-year-old Hazel Park man on probation for prior drug and weapons offenses, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and related offenses after a July 28 shooting at a Marathon gas station in Detroit. The incident followed a verbal and physical altercation between Robinson and Martin Clay, 32, and resulted in the deaths of Clay and Maria Jenkins, 34. Two women, ages 28 and 39, were also wounded but survived. Robinson allegedly fled the scene and was arrested the following day. If convicted, he faces life in prison without parole. His arraignment was scheduled for Friday in Detroit's 36th District Court.
