Police Seize P3.1 Million in Drugs in Iloilo

From December 2 to 4, the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) in Iloilo City seized illegal drugs valued at P3.1 million and arrested 13 suspects, including two high-value individuals. The Iloilo City Police Office led the operation, confiscating the largest amount, approximately P2.4 million worth of shabu, and arresting six individuals in Barangay Nonoy. Mayor Jerry Treñas praised the police's efforts and emphasized the need for community unity against drug activities. In a separate report, the Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) reported over PHP9 million worth of drugs seized and 367 suspects arrested in November, highlighting a focused approach to drug enforcement. Meanwhile, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported significant drug busts at the southern border, seizing over $2.9 million worth of narcotics across two operations. These coordinated efforts showcase ongoing challenges and responses in combating illegal drug trafficking across various regions.
