Mukesh and Nita Ambani have been named among the inaugural TIME100 Most Influential People in Philanthropy 2025, recognized for their extensive charitable contributions totaling approximately $48 million in 2024. Their philanthropic efforts, primarily channeled through the Reliance Foundation, span a wide range of sectors including education, healthcare, rural development, women’s empowerment, water conservation, and sports development, impacting millions across India. Nita Ambani also leads initiatives to develop athletes, with a particular focus on supporting female sportspeople. The Ambanis’ philanthropy reflects the scale of their business empire, which has earned them an estimated $110 billion fortune. Alongside the Ambanis, other notable Indian philanthropists such as Azim Premji and Nikhil Kamath were also featured, highlighting a collective commitment to systematic social impact.
