Two Women Arrested After Halifax Crash Leaves Teen Critical
Two women, both aged 25, have been arrested on suspicion of drug driving following a serious car crash in Halifax that left an 18-year-old male driver critically injured. The collision occurred at the junction of Hopwood Lane and Gibraltar Road, involving a grey BMW 330 and a black Citroen C1. The BMW, traveling on Hopwood Lane, collided with the Citroen emerging from Gibraltar Road, after which the BMW left the carriageway and crashed into the front of a shop. In addition to the critically injured driver, three passengers from the Citroen were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The two women from the BMW were treated in hospital and remain in custody while police continue their investigation. Authorities are appealing for witnesses and any dashcam footage to assist with enquiries.
