Metaforms Raises $9M to Expand AI Market Research Capabilities

Metaforms, a Bengaluru-based AI startup founded in 2022 by Akshat Tyagi and Arjun S, has raised $9 million in a Series A funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Nexus Venture Partners and Together Fund. The startup's AI agents automate critical market research workflows such as survey programming, data processing, and vendor coordination, enabling agencies to handle more projects with faster turnaround times and competitive pricing, addressing a major bottleneck in the $130 billion global market research industry. Since launching commercially six months ago, Metaforms has onboarded four of the world's top 20 research agencies, including Strat7, and currently processes over 1,000 surveys per month with a goal to scale to over 100,000 surveys annually. The new funding will be used primarily to triple Metaforms' engineering and AI research teams in Bengaluru, expand into new workflows like report generation and voice-based research, and deepen integrations with popular industry tools such as Decipher, SPSS, and Confirmit. Peak XV Partners and Nexus Venture Partners emphasized Metaforms' strong customer focus and ability to leverage generative AI to solve significant industry challenges, positioning the startup for rapid scaling and broader adoption. Metaforms aims to empower human researchers by providing leverage through AI rather than replacing them, ultimately improving business decisions made by research agencies worldwide.
