Two Arrested for Assaulting, Robbing Pastor in Statesville

Two men have been arrested in connection with the assault, robbery, and vehicle theft of a pastor in Statesville, North Carolina, which occurred on January 1, 2025. David Malachi Harris, 36, is accused of assaulting the pastor and stealing his vehicle, while Jaddin Allen Norris, 20, is charged as an accomplice who assisted Harris after the theft. The two suspects were allegedly working on church renovations alongside the pastor when the incident took place. Both men are currently in custody, with Harris held on an $89,500 bond and Norris on a $10,000 bond. The police investigation remains active, and authorities are seeking further information from the public.
