IRS Facility in Austin Evacuated After Unknown Substance Found

A suspicious package containing an unknown substance prompted the evacuation of an IRS facility in southeast Austin, with emergency responders quickly securing the scene. Authorities reported that 28 employees were exposed when the package was opened, and a second package was later discovered, leading to further evacuations. Only one individual required on-site medical evaluation for non-life-threatening symptoms and was released.
