A 34-year-old man, Marcus Williams, was killed and two teenagers were wounded in a shootout Friday evening in Gary, Indiana, near East 36th Avenue and Massachusetts Street. Police responded to the scene at around 5:43 p.m., finding Williams dead and a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man injured; both teens were hospitalized. Family members stated that at least three suspects opened fire, leading to a shootout in front of Williams's relatives' home. The Gary Police Department has urged residents to remain calm and is seeking public assistance in the case. Separately, Englewood police in Colorado are investigating the death of a man found unresponsive in a park near downtown, with the cause of death still under investigation.
