Russian Troops Capture Dvorichna, Advance in Kharkiv, Donetsk Regions

Russian forces have captured the village of Dvorichna in the Kharkiv region and advanced near several other settlements including Dovhenke, Zapadne, and Bahatyr in the Donetsk region, according to the Ukrainian OSINT community DeepState. The area of Russian-occupied territories in Kharkiv increased slightly, now totaling over 18,319 square kilometers, while occupied areas in Donetsk also expanded marginally. The Russian army is reportedly advancing toward Kostiantynivka from the Chasiv Yar direction. On the Toretsk front, Ukrainian forces engaged in 20 combat operations over the past 24 hours, eliminating 35 Russian soldiers, as the enemy pushes toward Dyliivka and Yablunivka. This marks continued Russian territorial gains in eastern Ukraine, with May 2025 having seen the worst monthly expansion of about 449 square kilometers of occupied Ukrainian land. The situation underscores intensified military activity and territorial contestation in eastern Ukraine.
