United Held 2-2 by Nottingham Forest
Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest at the City Ground after Amad Diallo’s thunderous 81st-minute volley rescued a point. Casemiro had given United a controversial first-half lead from a corner that Forest contested. Forest overturned the deficit early in the second half when Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolo Savona struck inside 102 seconds. The draw ended United’s bid for a fourth straight league win and denied them a chance to move to second, leaving them fifth in the table. Forest remain 18th, with manager Sean Dyche still awaiting his first league victory in charge, and their set-piece defending was again exposed. United nearly snatched all three points in stoppage time but saw a late effort cleared off the line.
