Kia Joorabchian Invests £11.5M at Tattersalls
Football agent Kia Joorabchian has made headlines by spending over £8 million at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, acquiring three yearlings sired by Frankel, including a £4.6m filly out of Grade 2 winner Aljazzi, marking the second-highest price ever paid at the sale. Assisted by bloodstock agent Alex Elliott and Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, Joorabchian also secured a full-sister to 2022 Arc winner Alpinista for £2.6m and a Frankel colt for £1.15m. His significant investments signal a strong intent to establish his Amo Racing operation as a major player in the bloodstock industry. The filly will be trained by Sir Mark Prescott, while the full-sister to Alpinista is set to follow in her sibling's footsteps. Overall, Joorabchian's purchases totaled £11.5 million, which represented 28% of the day's trading at the auction, where a total of £42.68 million was spent.
