Cyber Security Authority, CID Arrest 39 Suspects in Tema Fraud Hub

A joint operation by Ghana's Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) led to the arrest of 39 individuals at Adom City Estate, Tema Community 25, in the Greater Accra Region, targeting a suspected cyber fraud hub. The raid, conducted after weeks of intelligence-led surveillance, included the detention of three minors and a woman allegedly linked to a ringleader. Authorities seized laptops, mobile phones, and other digital devices for forensic analysis to support ongoing investigations. The CSA emphasized that this operation is part of a broader national strategy to dismantle online fraud networks and combat financial scams affecting individuals and institutions across Ghana. The CID assured that due process will be observed, especially concerning the minors, while urging public vigilance against suspicious online activities. This crackdown adds to a series of intensified efforts by Ghanaian security agencies to tackle the rising threat of cyber-enabled crimes.
