Multiple North Omaha Shootings Injure Three, Police Seek Suspects

Omaha police are actively investigating multiple shootings that have occurred in North Omaha in recent days. Early Thursday, a shooting near 40th and Corby streets left one person critically injured and hospitalized. Earlier on Tuesday, two people—a 16-year-old girl and a 28-year-old woman—were shot near 46th and Ogden; both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and multiple homes and vehicles were struck by gunfire. On Saturday night, officers searched for a suspect following the shooting of a 41-year-old man near 44th Street and Ellison Avenue; the victim is expected to survive. Police have asked the public to provide any information anonymously through Omaha Crime Stoppers, which is offering a reward for tips leading to arrests.
