Over 500 Young Women Empowered at Massachusetts Event

Women's giving circles across the country, such as 100+ Women Who Care chapters in Eastern Oregon, Itasca County, and Sisters, Oregon, are empowering women to collectively support local nonprofits through pooled donations. Typically, at least 100 women each donate $100, resulting in significant, often unrestricted, contributions that can provide immediate impact and serve as matching funds for additional grants. These events allow members to nominate and advocate for local organizations, with the group voting on which nonprofit will receive the gathered funds. Recent outcomes include $9,200 donated to Meals on Wheels in Sisters and similar events aiming to raise $10,000 or more in a single evening for community causes. Organizers highlight that collective philanthropy not only maximizes charitable impact but also fosters community connections and meaningful engagement among women.
