Several dairy farms and communities across the Midwest and Vermont recently hosted events celebrating dairy farming and products as part of ongoing efforts to educate the public and promote local agriculture. The Peterson Family Dairy in Pierce County held its annual Dairy Breakfast, attracting hundreds of visitors despite rainy weather, where attendees enjoyed traditional farm foods and learned about modern farming practices, including automated tractors. Similarly, Ohlde Family Farms showcased its new State Line Dairy facility with robotic milking technology during an open house event. In Sheboygan County, the Breakfast on the Farm event at Double Dutch Dairy featured farm tours, cheese tastings, and family-friendly activities. Vermont's Billings Farm & Museum celebrated dairy culture with cheese tastings, hands-on activities, and tours that highlighted sustainable farming practices. Additionally, Vernon County's Dairy Breakfast welcomed over 3,000 guests to the Lepke Family Farm, featuring meals with local dairy products and the introduction of new dairy ambassadors who promote the industry in their communities.
